At a very early age, Myrlain has shown a keen sense of empathy toward those who are less fortunate, and a tremendous passion to help others. That passion led him to actively participate in charitable activities such as food drive for the homeless and backpack distribution for elementary school students. While pursuing his engineering degree at the New Jersey Institute of Technology, Myrlain volunteered his time as a mentor to elementary and middle school students in the Newark public school district.
After obtaining his bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from the New Jersey Institute of Technology, Myrlain embarked on a professional career in the pharmaceutical and biotech industry and has built a reputation as a result driven executive with over 20 years in the industry. He’s worked for both large and small pharmaceutical companies, including Schering Plough, Merck, DPT Labs in roles of increasing responsibilities. He’s currently the Director of Engineering, Facilities and EHS at Ferring Pharmaceutical with responsibility for drug product delivery to the US market.
Myrlain continues to be actively involved in the community, but his insatiable desire to help others, led him to co-found Building Bridges for Community Enrichment, which is a non-profit organization with a bold mission to provide educational, economic, cultural, and mentoring support, particularly in under-served communities.
Along with his co-founders, Myrlain is committed to utilize this platform to help effectuate the positive changes we expect to see in our communities.
